FAQ, Exhibition, DRAW!

I have a few updates to share in today’s post, and just as the title reads, it’s about FAQs, an exhibition where one of my works will be displayed and a draw for a prize! So read on… FAQ: As this project has evolved, I’ve received some great feedback – on the site and Facebook page, but also via email. I’ve also received a lot of different questions and requests. So, I decided it would be helpful to have a Frequently Asked Questions page on the site. Go ahead and check it out, under FAQ in the top navigation bar. If you have any other questions you think should be answered here, please pass them along.

EXHIBITION: On another note, I mentioned earlier that I am donating a work to this year’s Seeing Red and White fundraiser for the Kelowna Art Gallery. Something new that the KAG is doing this year is putting on an Artists’ Exhibition in the front space, of other works by artists who have donations for the event.

For the exhibition, I decided to submit a work from my 100 for 100 series.

What I have not decided is which painting to submit. Drop off is this Friday, and I thought I would have a little fun and let you, the reader, decide.

Please leave a comment on this post before Friday morning, saying which work from the Art for Sale category (on the left sidebar) you think I should submit. This is also a chance for those wanting to see one of these works in person, and not just online.

DRAW: And to sweeten the pot, I’m going to randomly pick a winner, who will receive a set of six bespoke clay tags, made by my wife, Lori-Anne, from The Pear Tree. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment saying which of my paintings (that’s still for sale) should go in the Seeing Red & White Artists’ Exhibition.

The unfired clay tags can be personalized with a word or a name or date, up to six characters long. The two-inch wide tags add a whimsical touch to everything they adorn, from vases or spooners to gifted jars of canned fruit or jam. Use them as gift tags or keepsake place cards at your next dinner party, or hang one from your rear view mirror. Also great Christmas tree ornaments.

I will draw a winner on Friday, October 7, around noon.

Good luck!

Update October 7: Congratulations to Roslyn Muir, winner of the personalized tag giveaway! We will be in touch with you shortly. Thank you to everyone who participated.
