I remember a time when I didn’t have to sweep toys off the couch before I could sit down. I wouldn’t trade having to now for anything.

Sometimes the remnants are words. The little words of habits they say just before they climb into bed. “Love you, see you in the morning”. Words that bring comfort to them, and joy to our hearts. Like you, wouldn’t trade them for the simpler bedtimes we used to have.
I agree — I love seeing little remnants of my children’s play after they’ve gone to bed for the night! It’s great that you can look at it from that perspective.
