A Grand and Terrifying Moment

I want to come off cool as a cucumber. Casual as a… ummm, what’s casual, anyway? Well, as casual as that.

But the truth is I’m a bundle of nervous energy now that MY FIRST BOOK IS ON THE MARKET!!!! Did I just scream that? Sorry! I’ll try to reign myself in a bit.

So the last few steps of publishing went a lot quicker than I thought, and Tales of The Mother Load went live yesterday afternoon on Smashwords. And while it will likely take another couple of weeks for it to appear with other big retailers such as Apple, Kobo, Sony and Barnes and Noble, you CAN purchase it for a variety of e-reader formats right from the Smashwords site, including Kindle, Kobo, Nook, Sony Reader and most other e-reading apps.

For the curious who are (like me) e-reader free, there is also a PDF version available to load onto your computer.

And now. To celebrate. The Pear Tree is giving away a free copy to one reader Monday morning. Yep, a good ole giveaway (it’s been too long since our last one, I know). To enter, leave a comment below telling us about a mother YOU admire. You can also have a second chance by “liking” our new Tales of The Mother Load fan page, here. Everyone who is a fan by Monday morning gets an automatic entry into the pot. The random draw will take place at 9 a.m. Monday, 9 July. The winner will be announced some time after that.

Thanks for checking in!

Congrats Lori-Anne. Best of luck with the launch – I am hoping to make it to your reading to get a signed copy.

PDF, please and thank you! I’m e-reader free for now…but your book may steer me in the right (?) direction. Can’t wait to hold a copy — in some format — or other in my eager hands before the end of next month!

    Definitely a fan

  3. Congrats and all the best!!! I love it when dreams come true and I get to witness the glory, not all the hard work that went on behind it:-)
